I live in a terraced house, and its not convenient for me to crank my amp and record it with microphones.

So, what i'm wanting to do, is run my Head into Amplitube, and put a cab sim onto it so i'm still getting at least some of my sound.

Absolutely love the amp and its been nothing but amazing to me. My sustain is starting to fade and the tubes have about 3000 hours on them so its time for some new ones! I'm all about playing metal in the styles of Nevermore, Judas Priest, Necrophagist, Darkest Hour, Scar Symmetry ect. and I'm looking for suggestions on a killer Power/Preamp tube setup for my head. Right now it has groove tube(hardness 6) GT 6L6's in it and the factory preamp 12AX7's. Looking for tubes around the same hardness, all the venues I play have good sound so the head never see's past volume 3. I want a really aggressive tight sound nothing muddy! Money is not an issue! I have a nearly-new Roland GC-405 "Tube Technology" amp I'm going to list. It's a nice little amp, but I wonder if it's worth more than I think it is... I've been reading that they're relatively hard to find & that some people like them more than the Cube series amps that replaced them.

Anybody have a clue what I should ask for it? (Please note that I'm just looking for info here---this isn't an actual ad to sell it, in case that'd violate any forum rules.)

Great Pedals, great sound. Now I mainly use mine for live shows (V-amp 2) and considering I JUST got my V-Amp Pro, I'm noticing no Foot Switch for channel selections? So assuming this means I NEED the Midi Foot Switch? And if so, where can I get it?
