Little Problem With Soundfont Help !!!

yeah well i'll make it simple i load the song in .mid format
then i see at the bottom viewscreen the instruments in the song and the tracks
but as soon as i press play............. i get a message that goes like this
NOTHING TO PLAY !!

i see all the tracks and all the instruments but can't remove anything or add anything cause all i see is that message constantly.........

i'd like to contribute but i'm still learning the synthfont program too.......i'm just stuck.........

I remember I got that message too the first time.

It happens when either you haven't yet chosen a default soundfont for SynthFont, or it cannot find it.

In case you don't have one yet... there are many available, my favourite is FluidR3 GM.SF2 and also a340.sf2... I can't remember where I got these, but 99% sure that it as either from the links in the tutorial or from links in the SynthFont site.

So, get yourself some soundfonts (a general midi based one is good to have as a default, and then you can apply different ones to different instruments as you see fit...) and select your default one in the options menu in SynthFont... then you'll get sound.
