how to make a compressed video?

could somebody tell me how i can make a video compressed enough, yet still good qualaty to post here? all i have is a anolog camcorder. i can convert it to dvd using my external dvd recorder/player.. but its like 3 gig and i need it to be 10 meg.. what are the best programs to use?

Once you have it in digital format, import the mpeg or avi into Windows Movie Maker and then export to wmv. You can choose the file size in WMM and it will compress it down to 10 MBs (or whatever you choose).

Yep, Windows Movie Maker is really an easy tool to size your vids and do other edits
