Hey everyone...I regret to tell you all that I have been ill with Lyme Disease/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for quite some time now and lately it has severely affected my ability to play the guitar.
A couple of months ago I was still able to play for about 10-15 minutes at a time, but now my illness has progressed to the point where I am in absolute agony and for days if I even play longer than a few minutes.
I can't believe that I'm even saying this, but I'm going to have to hang up the guitar.
Today, in one last effort, I decided that I would record myself playing "
Purple Haze" on the video camera. I knew I only had one take to do it in, so I tried my best to make it a good one. Its laced with mistakes, I know, but my skills are a bit off from inactivity. I can only imagine how much worse they will get in the next coming months...
I will still be around to listen to all your stuff and comment on them when I can...I may even add a few of my own backing tracks as I make them. However, this will be my last recording...maybe forever as it could take years before I ever get better...I don't know.
I just want to say that even though I haven't been with you guys very long, its been an incredible pleasure to meet you all and play with some of you. You were all a big inspiration to me and I can honestly say that I am a better guitar player for having known you.
