Secret Garden - The Reel - Guitar Add (video)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I've not properly introduced myself in this forum as of yet, so I guess its about time (sorry for that) my name is Dan Johansen, Im from Norway,I'm a composer, and a guitarist, I compose music in various styles, mostly Fantasy / Symphonic, game music etc etc..
I love all kinds of musical styles, included Celtic.. I love celtic, there isn't ANY bad celtic out there.. So secret garden is very nice music, very pleasant to listen to, and very flowing as music should be..
I am very fascinated by the composition "The Reel" by secret garden, it moooooves so damn much .. so I sat down one day and played to it, learnt it by ear and decided to record a video and post here, to hear what the people think about Guitar playing all the violin...
Tell me what ya think of it!..
The Reel!

hey man,that's fuckin good!
I also really love that celt music..
I remember 8-9 years ago, when I didn't know anything about guitar,I did listen to Secret Garden a lot...I really love their music..and in those years,I thought they were scottish,or irish..etc..I was really suprised when I learnt that they were from Norway.
You impressed me,man..Great Playing,Great Song Choice btw..
I want to transcript it also, and I will start to practice..
I think these single line notes that can be produced by violins,clarinets,flutes,sax...etc are very benefical for electric guitar players..
Do you know any other "single lines" to play?I'd be really glad if you reply..
Btw,check out my video on this forum..
Good Bye,See You Soon.

When you say "Do you know any other "single lines" to play" I guess you mean tunes that have single line "solo" playing instruments that are not Guitar, well, yeah, I know tons of tunes that can improve technique and speed, that are awesome and emotional tunes..
haha, lately I been playing alot to Celtic, so I can recommend RIVER DANCE..
ALOT of game music.. tons of game music, RPG game music that is.. awesome stuff..
Glad you like the video by the way man!
