VIDEO!!! WAH WAH doing VH "I'M THE ONE" IN STUDIO WITH UNCHAINED

Thanks to POD GOD for reducing these files down from a whopping 1GB! This was pretty much exactly three years ago in Dungeon Studios in the wilds of Oxfordshire (bit like that scene in 'American Werewolf!).

Unchained had only been rehearsing for about 8 weeks and we spent two days doing a demo of about 7 songs. It's not a particularly close version; I was still trying to 'fit' it all together. Problem was there was no way to do drop-ins on this song so I had to do it all in one-take! I could hear the track thru the cans but you catch every mistake as the guitar is solo!!!

I was using a 5150 half stack and you can hear the noise coming from the phaser!

Anyway, warts and all!

oh and there's a cracker of a wrong note at about 00:19secs!!!

Thanks mate...but I never really got to like the 5150 tone. I thought it was very fizzy. Prolly down to the gain setting...I could never get the thing over 6 without it going fizzy.

Me and TJ were going over this song recently too - some of the licks are just frickin fast man.

I noticed that on some of the whammy bar licks, you didn't use the whammy bar ??

Yeah, I was till trying to get it all together with this song. Plus very hungover from night before! Prolly either missed the trem arm or forgot to put it in. As for Black Rose stuff John, I have two VERY old files I'm getting put onto cd so should be a laugh! One is 'Check It Out' on Tyne Tees TV from 1981!!!!
