Sounds like you're off to a pretty good start axe. Tone sounded very much like George Thorogood.
Had to vote Cormack tho. His entry sounded a bit more complete.
Maybe sounds a bit abstract, but I don't know how else to put it.
I liked yours Axe, ....maybe too long but great. Cormack,COOL!! that sounded very good but it lacks some structure on the whole thing, more a solo than a composition.
wow this was a tough one here.. axe i liked your tone alot better cuz it was a tad heavier and i think the slide sounds killer with a tone like that... cormack i think had a better grasp and control on using the slide itself overall... so i think ima have to go with him on this one...but they were both cool and i mess with a slide also and i suck at it so i know how hard it is.. it really makes you appreciate how good some of those guys are that use them and make it look soo easy
I had to go with cormack. Axeshredder's was prefourmed better. But cormack's tone was better and he took alot more chance's. IMHO in good slide playing every note is like a leap of faith. You gotta take it right to the edge and be fearless.
thanks everyone for comments pos and neg. Cormack was truly fearless in his blues. I was scared! its like being experienced in one hand and a beginner in the other. Truly a learning experience Well done Cormack
I suck big-time at slide. That and playing a flawless version of 'Riviera Paradise' are my tasks for this year on the guitar. As a first post Axe, that was pretty good but as has been said, a bit overlong on the same groove. The tone was superb as ever.
Cormack, yours was much more adventurous and shows how bloody difficult it is to get a degree of pitch with the bloody thing!
Anyway, I went one way but mucho respect to both of you.
