Two really good takes here, I have never heard the song before either so it's interesting. I am going to have to mull this one over for a little while, strat, yours sounds mixed well but is really quiet so I had to crank everything up on my PC.

Great solo Axe. What type of effect are you using. I'l like to get that kind of sound on my GNX4. I'm sure it can do it....

Sorry guys, I do not know this one either. But I had to go with strat78 on this one because his playing seemed to be more aggressive, more edge to it.
However, I could not say which one of yas got closer to the original.
Apart from that, there wasn't much in it to my ears.

I'm going to say that Axe was MUCH closer to the original, but, sorry axe ol' buddy, I'm going to go with Strat on this one, I like his solo breaks and he did the scratchy thingy. I know he didn't use that wah, and used a flanger instead (which I'm not too fond of), but I believe he deserves the credit on the solo work for this one!

For a very short period of time I played in a ratm cover band. We didnt have a sing tho, so I'm pretty used to hearing this sort of ratm-cover
Enough about me, time to vote!
You both did an awesome job on this, and it was great to hear a bit of ratm.
Axe's version was great, and the solo rocked, but I found strats version to be even more to my liking. More agressive and a more powerful tone did it for me.

Thanks for voting everybody! Keep them comming. Like Axe said, this tune was a pisser, but it was fun trying to find a way to put it all together with out the vocal. The thing that is cool about Tom Morello, from RATM is that he never does the obvious. I think both Axe and I did this tune with Toms playing in mind. However, I was leaning a little more towards Ace Freely (you don't here that too often).
