Axeshredder vs Verga on Joe Satriani: WAR
Hey Axe, thanks for accept the battle (and for the detuning of your guitar for it ) This battle is for Joe Satriani: WAR. Such a strong intense song. The coolest thing here is to have axeshredder performing a Satch song for our joy Killer job man. What else can we all say after listen to your pro playing? Smoking!
Here are the covers:

Nice battle
Had to go with Verga on this one. A little cleaner presentation defined tone. I also enjoyed the added bonuses. Nice job axe....This was a close one. Both were killer covers!

Great stuff here guys! I'll have to give this one to verga by a hair. Just sounded a little bit "sharper", if you know what I mean...

yo these arent even close...im just waiting for Verga to tell us how long he spent recording this masterpiece and would love to know what gear too because it was already done after i accepted so he didnt have to deal with the pressure of a battle or squeeezing this into a work week ...i only got 3 hours (1 hour a day) into this and wouldnt spend another min...actually this battle has ruined this song for me...so if this isnt apples to apples..lets hear it..otherwise Verga is the new Satriani Master.. a well deserved Congratulations to ya m8!
ya know after i read the slop above i realize it must be a guitar ego thing....Verga you did an amazing job on this recording and you deserve more props than this thread will ever give you......the time and efforts on this recording are unpresidented in my book...

New Satriani master? Nope, im not even close to what youve done. This is only 1 recording and you r a completly pro. Im just a fucking cover player and you have grownt from that. On your songs i can feel the diference between someone who plays or try to play a note for note song and someone who put his soul on the solo as youv been doing lately. What you wrote is completly true. I spend like 3 to 5 days recording the song. People hear the final version but dont have in mind that i make tons of mistakes but im patient. Take after take i try to improve the last playing and i came up with the #234 recording take Axe just had less than a day (because he have other things to do apart from battling, tuning his guitar, earn $$$ to live,..) but he accepted because is his nature. Who could resist to play a Satriani song like this? Is evident that he couldnt, but anyway, knowing the little time he had he stand by his word..... looking back, when i see what i wrote....i thing every word is meaningless. Its like if you have to apologize for something, but you made a super work. If you came up with this powerfull incredible cover in such a little time what the f&%k youll do if you have free time on it? Your my #1 fav Satriani guitarist player ever, and you have my vote.

WOW, two great covers!!! Axe you are the man when it comes to covering Satch, but Verga kicked some royal butt on this one.
