Camel747 vs Naifuzan
So, here's an improvised version of rude mood. I recorded it sometime ago, and I can't really remember why, but it has no drums. Basically, I focused on the intro- and main riff, and added some stuff I thought I could tackle.
hope you like!

And here's my improvised version of testify that I recorded an hour ago, or so.
One take, improvised except for the main riff.
But I did do that one a bit different as well.
Waddaya think of the tone btw? Haven't used this one before.
Great take on rude mood by the way. Good luck in the battle!

Wow man, that is some energetic stuff! Nice screaming tone, too! Makes mine seem pretty lame. I'd say you derserve to win this one!
Really nice. Got more SRV stuff?

If you check out the link in my signature I've got a version of texas flood on there. I've also done a bunch of versions of Mary Had a Little Lamb. One pretty recently, wich I battled with on here.
Then there are two old covers of scuttle buttin and wham with pretty crappy backing tracks.
Glad you liked my jam btw. Now let's wait for the voters

Wow, really, really tough decision....................went with Camel on this for no other reason than first gut reaction. They were both really fine examples of Texas blues. Congrats to both.

Great playing guys! Love to hear SRV stuff ... great to see plenty of covers happening around here lately.
I went with Naifuzan, but am enjoying both of these. *thumbs up*

I couldn't find any of your songs, including the mary version on this site.

That's because I have deleted them to make room for my newer songs
But you'll find texas flood here, along with some other tunes.
Thanks for voting and commenting by the way guys!

Naifuzan, could you tell me what kind of setup you use for the sound in your testify, and if you have any SRV backing tracks that you'd like to share?
You play very nice, it has a nice feel to it. I'm impressed.
cheers,
Pier

Thanks pier. It's my Edwards Les Paul, through the guitar port. I used a pre-made setting called "new wave" then added screamer wich I cranked to 100% on all knobs

I think guitar port patches fit in the podxt, which I have. would you mind emailing me the patch?
My email address is pieah at hotmail .com, I have messenger too. (I type it like this so creepy crawling web spiders can't pick it off the net and spam me to death advertising with viagra. I don't use viagra, I use girls... ;-)

I don't have the particular Steve Vai song, but I know his music a little, (I heard "eugene's trickbag" and ran away crying ), and I don't think I dare attempt stuff like that without at least ten years of military style guitar training.
I think I'm out on a limb already trying to play SRV's stuff
Thanks for listening though!
