I actully love my tone zone! Amazing pickup, I wanted a guitar with only 1 pickup and just a volume control, but didn't want your usual noisy bridge pickup, and although you cant tell from the crazy train solo it really provides lol.

lol I may never change necks, the neck on there is extremly fast!! Great "raw" neck feel (no finish on back of neck) and a real high quality product. And not only the playablity but the looks!! The dragon on the neck gets a load of attention .

I think someday I will probably build another guitar but with something like a big ole' hocky stick neck on it, probably reverse to (sexy!!!) and then do some crazy custom paint on it, who knows!

And nope, I dont play any Vai (dont tell anyone ) I just prefer 24 frets, and if I can get it I take it.

cool i'm glad you're enjoying you're tone zone i own one my self.

just wondering are you a big fan of rose wood boards because if anyone is building a guitar they usually go with a maple board i know i would.

the guitar i used is my kramer focus with super distortion pickup it gots alot of power.

ever time i bring my kramer to guitar center everyone gos nuts and asked to play it they looks at me like i'm a movie star or something lol

is that a real ibanez neck or something from a website?

i heard you cant order ibanez necks.(have no idea why

i need some votes people lol.

I like rosewood for its warmer tone, maple seems more bright to me and with a high output pickup I didn't want to end up with a bright treble noisey thing like a strat .

lol Kramers are real nice guitars, I've played a few but never had the chance to own one myself, but I played a friends beretta before and, amazing guitar!

Its the second one (from website) lol. Its a bit thinner, pointier headstock from a normal ibanez. I'm not sure about not being able to order from Ibanez but it is possible, I dont see many necks floating around unless they are used and on eBay.

the only ibanez neck i liked was the vai artist model and i think the satchriani.

the neck shape was kind of like a american kramer very flat not concave like stratocaster necks.

is this first time you build a guitar before.

i would love to build one my self one may be a frankenstrat or kramer 5150 replica.

does home made guitar play better then the stuff off the rank?

Yes the neck I got is very "flat". I have played a few american Kramers and the necks are similar, but I would actully have to say that the one I have on mine is actully thinner!

This is my first custom guitar! It was a really fun thing to do and for how good it plays and looks I would place its value over the 500 I payed for all the parts. Plus its value to me because I made it makes it worth even more to myself.

I think it has to do with what you use a lot, if you do it all right and everything lines up perfectly everywhere on it and you use quality parts then it will sound a load better than MANY off the shelf guitars. My guitar doesn't even use the best parts and I think it plays better than many guitars in the 1000 - 1500 range!

wolf sounds like he's in mono, but his playing sounds much more clearer. Wayward's backer was a bit too noisy but I actually liked his tone and his aggresiveness, so I'd go for him ........

The body I got was painted (to a point) I still need to paint it all the way (but dont care as much about paint as I do playability, and it looks good with the paint on it as is :P).

I got my Floyd Rose from Mighty Mite (very good quality replica), the hardware from Guitar Center, body from eBay , and neck from here ---
http://stores.ebay.com/online-instru...QQftidZ2QQtZkm
Dont be fooled by the low prices too, the one I got is amazing quality, although I havn't seen a dragon for sale since I got mine... He has some Kramer style headstocks and some jacksons (reverse as well) but no hockey stick style sadly.

Yes remember to vote on this one guys!!!

That would be cool to do! Duncan did indeed make EVH's pups, but I dont know which ones... I'm sure if you do a search there would be MANY results though! There is also a website that was mentioned not too long ago on here that has a lot of necks/bodys for the EVH guitars, maybe someone will chime in and shed some light.

You guys should consider using the Attachment feature of the Forum instead of linking it to a offsite link, I couldn't get to either song.

Happy

I heard to many mistakes in BWGangs version; but that said I dont know if I could do that good.

I heard a lot less mistakes in Wayward S version and so I will vote for Wayward.
The hiss/reverb that you guys are talking about has nothing to do with the actual guitar playing (from what I heard)
and since its a guitar battle and not a recording battle I dont think the quality of the recording matters.

Just my 2 cents

Heres my PEAVEY

Cool

Excellent playing by both parties!

BlueWolfgang and Wayward Son did great on this one.
They were both surprisingly good. I really enjoyed listening to both of them play. I had to go with Wayward Son on this one because his playing was more polished. However I want to encourage BWGang to keep practicing harder. You my friend, are on your way to being a blistering lead guitarist!
ENCORE!! ENCORE!!
