As a bit of a lurker on these forums

(bit?!?! see the number of my posts) and a less than stellar guitar player. I'd like to complement Guitar Kid for having balls the size of watermelons to even think about fighting it out with some of the guitar fiends on this site (I know I wouldn't dare).

Your post was really good possibly just lacking in some of the subtle nuances that make a really great solo. I'm sure those extra elements of flair will come sooner rather than later given the obvious talent and enthusiam you have.

I gotta give guitar kid the balls award to for going up against Naif. If I were you Kid I would listen to yours, and then Naif's, do that again and again. Work as hard as you can to get yours sounding like Naif's. I'm guessing you haven't been playing very long, and it took guts to go up against the Sweedish Blues Man. Keep practicing and you'll get it too.

Great

I think its great too, what you're doing. Thats the way to do it. You think the winner of this would want to go against me? I've been wanting to do something like this for a while. Whoever the winner is just let me know.

Well I really didn't think I would win but 1 vote would have been nice . I really am not that good but I enjoy playing and hearing how better guitarists approach the music. This kind of thing helps me because I thought my peice was decent but after hearing naifs it makes me sound like I have only been playing a month and not 3 years. With three years experience you would think I would be better but the first 2 went slow cus I didn't have much interest in it yet. Congrats Naif .

Just a question would I be aloud to use the same BT for another battle if I make a better take?

Just hang in there kid, keep playing, keep posting, even if it's not battles, just do something and post it, just the act of playing and playing will help you tremendously. Looking forward to hearing you evolve.

Thanks for the battle guitar kid. And I agree, you shouldnt think too much about matching somebody's skill when doing these. Even if you win or lose you can always learn something.
Especially if you lose.
You're definately on the right track! Just keep going.

And yeah, it's ok to use the same backer for more battles. You could even use the exact same track if you like.
You and your opponent make the rules, the forum doesnt really have any strict guitar battle rules. It's just for fun!
