Naifuzan vs GuitarPlayingPJ - Hideaway acoustic

These are the rules! One acoustic guitar, no overdubs, hideaway.
This is my crappy entry. My acoustic guitar is really crappy, and so is my mic. Hence the result.
It's gonna be great to hear PJ's version tho

Ok here's mine.

Played on my Fender F-210

You call yours crappy - mine is totally off the cuff.

But thats what it's all about! Good luck!

Yours sounds amazing. I wish I could make my acoustic recordings sound like that!

hey guys some great playing,

naifuzen, fantastic rhythm ,your use of upstrokes is extremely mature and it makes your playing sounds like " blues " , its hard to get , but you got it,

pj, cool take all together very nice , great lead work , neat rakes , i have listened to your take just once so i'll listen more and then ......

ps.i need to listen more to the takes to vote so i'll be back and umm i'll just vote for the quality of playing. cheers!

GAWD GUYS... you made that really hard. You both rocked the song. I really liked both versions. There was just a few extra little doo dad's in PJ's that stuck out and so I voted for that. WTG both of you!!

Loved this one! It´s a shame there´s such a difference in sound, it would´ve been a little more even, but heck, thats the fun of it I guess. Mine wen´t for PJ´s too, seemed to be played very straight ahead, but Nai´s got some beautifull licks in his too .

I voted for Naif, overall his had more a delta blues feel for me, and the recording quality just helped that, sounded like an old 78.......he he!

This one is tied!

I would take issue with your assertion Rythameen and Rezamo.

Hide Away is not a Delta Tune. Those kinds of chords that Nai is using are not anywhere in the origional.

They sound cool, but sound more Jazz to me than Blues.

I think hideaway can be a delta tune. It's not originally, but it is what you make of it. If you play it delta style it becomes a delta tune. That's one of the great things with it. You can really put your own mark on it and make it your own.

What kinds of chords by the way?

It is what you make it I totally agree Nai. Your right. And I guess I could* have made it with the mark of Iron Maiden too! But Iron Maiden style wouldn't fit ya know?

i didnt even mention delta, if i want to mention a style those upstrokes would make me mention texas shuffle , now thats really far from where i wanted to get , i just felt his was more bluesy feeling alltogether and i guess its a blues song , so i went with him although you had a very neat version.
