when i made the challenge there was a bit of a typo. oops! anyway, i was just testing out a new program when i made this. kind of a funk/rock song with a slow lead.

had to go with db on this one - Dannyboy, I really liked your phrasing and tone. Lots of feeling in the bends and vibrato, I enjoyed it quite a bit An aside, I also dig that backing track, care to share it? Great job anyway
peaches, not a bad track, the volume of the main guitar was a bit up and down and the cut-ins and cut-outs during the track were a bit distracting. Pretty good tone though, keep it up

Awesome playing guys! I voted for db for overall superb performance. I think Peaches' track have too much wide open spaces on some parts but have a cool vibe and nice tone. Good luck guys!

Looks like I came in late on this one
Superb work DB! Great stuff!
Peaches, I really love off the wall funky stuff and this was definately one that has a catchy vibe. I would say to work it a bit more... there are a few empty spaces that are begging to be filled.
If it were me, I would start small at the beginning. Simple phrases...to build some tension
Then work it up and use some of those nifty tricks of yours to bring it to a climax near the center or 3/4 of the way through ...then bring it back down at the end.
This is a trick that is used by the Satch and Vai.
You build tension... bring it to a climax (which your listeners are begging for) and then release.
Look at it like sex... Foreplay, Climax then relax LOL!
