Runnin' With The Devil
Mine too. Take it easy on an old man... My fingers just don't move the way they used to.
There is a slight change in the end from the original I think fits in well with the song.

Oh yeah, btw how did you get the piano type thing in the intro right before the guitar comes in? I kept trying to do it behind the nut but yours sounds dead on?

Lots of reverb and delay and scrape the strings really hard.

Keep in mind that EVH used to use a steel pick on his older recordings and on "Runnin' with the Devil" a steel pick really brings out that rake across the strings behind the nut.

Both were very nicely done.
I went with UPSguy simply cause it is more close to the original but had to listen to both a couple of times.
Nice job to both of you!

Very, very close IMO. I would love to play RWTD as good as either of you. I feel UPS just edged out cyber in the tone department and the two short solo sections. But again, very, very close.

Cyberpixel,
For only being 14, I must say that you are very much on the right track. Very excellent playing my friend.
I have been playing for longer than you have been around but I didn't even have a guitar until I was about 16 and I bet I couldn't play that well until I was about 19 or thereafter LOL! Wasn't that I was a slow learner, just had to teach myself everything from the start. I can remember my first year playing shit on one string cause I couldn't figure out how to tune the thing heheh!
I eventually got an electronic tuner and learned a few chords, then learned how to read tab and all was history
