B & G
ah the ole Analog Delay clean tones a refreshing change from shred which i truly welcome here. bit of strumming a la srv in mary had a little lamb goin on, you dont overplay which only adds to the tune . its so important to have hummability which makes tunes memorable and the listener take an interest. only thing i can say is that with a recurring theme in the way moore does on still got the blues woulda made it an even stronger track. anyways, i liked it and thank you for posting it. lets see what your opponent has to offer.

thanks BD...I don't if I would compare any of my work to the great SRV...exspecially since I don't play this style... I did strive for a clean tone. Used a Fender Strat and used a RP-100 straight into the back of the puter and recorded with jet audio.. I am glad you liked it. I think "the rock" will be laying his smacketh down tomorrow... It is my first battle and I pick something out of my element. Best way to learn I guess is under fire.... Be sure to come back and listen to the rock's track....and then vote

I'll have to go with the rock on this one. Nice and dirty, the way I like it!
Reminded me of Allman Brothers. Both because of the slide playing and that the backing is almost the song "trouble no more".
Great job on those dirty sliding blues!
Billandgitana had a very nice entry as well. Cool groove going on. And I think it's great that you go out on a limb and do stuff that isnt in your comfort zone.
Great battle here guys!

I voted for the rock
sounded a bit more refined. I wanna battle someone how do I do it? Someone challenge me and none of you EVH freaks or weirdos from Japan and Sweden who eat live and Sh&t Yngwie anyway, pretty good attempts on both but I think if your gonna battle it shouldnt be any of this "I did it in one take" BS. Do it up and take a few days.

I am glad that you all are enjoying the guitar battle, turned out to be a pretty good one and generating a lot of comments. I would like to give my opinion and disagree with martin1313 in the fact that music is a interpretation of the feeling as it is expressed into melody. It doesn't matter on the number of takes. If it is a first take then possibly it would capture the inspiration of the feeling that you are trying to capture. Some of the greatest moments in guitar history are generated out of improv and guitarist playing what they feel and not what they think. I feel that perfection is attained when inspiration and great playing come together as one, I feel that if you analyze all of the how’s ,why’s and what should be then you lose the inspiration that in which you are trying to capture. But that is my own humble opinion. And that is why I did mine in one take.
