wahwah vs eamon7...bends and vibrato round 3? - Guitars101

This is very jazzy ala Jeff Beck. Wanted a tone where you could hear the springs and strings going. NO tremelo...the little bits at the beginning and end are played by hitting harmonics and then vibrating the string over the nut of the guitar (ala EVH on 'Runnin' With The Devil').

Thanks Dutch...you prolly got the one that was clipping slightly so I took it down and re-jigged it. Have another listen...this version is a lot cleaner.

heres mine. kept it slow and clean to show off the bending and vibrato. hope you like it and good luck wahwah. i havent listened to yours yet. i was afraid if i heard yours first i might be afraid to post mine. i must be crazy to challenge chris but it is all in fun and that is what makes this site so great.

Well the good thing here is the backer is the same so it makes judging more uniform . Chris has a much cleaner set up , and has more volume ,and his bending is very kewl indeed but its not overcooked now Eamon on the other hand has more dirt , and less Volume but in my honest opinion bends more , in fact in some parts its a joy to listen too . (3.45) , both excellent entries indeed , but im gonna get the voting started here !

think Eamon has more bends in ther and also has some cool stuff going on in the track

These are both very well done. Chris, you really show some amazing chops here bro. Love the tone, and the stereo effect, sounds awesome on the headphones. Songs like this tend to get boring after a bit but you have a way of keeping it interesting, leaving us wanting even more!!! Kudos to you

eamon7, sweet blues tone. Lots of bite and great choice notes on this. Kinda wish the guitar was a little louder in the mix, but that's the only fault I can find with it. Excellent stuff! This is gonna be a close one I think.

you sure can tell that chris and i have been influenced by a lot of the same guitarists over the years. thats why i chose this backer as it seems fit our playing styles. chris you did an excellent job on yours. like me you know how important a good vibrato is and to bend and stay in tune. i see a lot of similarity to our playing styles and our taste in music. this should be a close battle in my opinoin and good luck to you
