Humans Being Sessions?

I have no idea if these exist anywhere, but does anyone have any material from the sessions that yielded Humans Being and possibly the other newer tracks that were released along with the 'Best of Volume I' album?

Thanks, I'd really appreciate it.

Two tracks were recorded for the Twister soundtrack......"Humans Being" and an unreleased one called "Between Us Two" that was said to be Van Halen's "Stairway to Heaven". Many problems surfaced during the writing and recording of the song between Sammy and Ed and it basically became the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back". Sammy's wife was pregnant and he wanted to spend much time with her as he could. Producer Glen Ballard told Sam that the vocals on 'Between' were perfect and so he left to be with his wife...Ed demanded that Sam re-record them. That started the rift between Sam and Ed and led to the phone call that sent Sammy back to solo superstardom.

If ANYONE has that song "Between us Two", please post it. This is supposed to be the best song they ever recorded and it will be a shame if the fans never get to hear it.

The tracks with Roth that went on to the Best of Volume 1 CD were from different sessions (obviously) and I'm not sure how many songs were recorded.

RevolutionMan is an unknown quantity at this point
No sessions exist. Whatever is around is locked away on Ed's property and probably Sam isn't legally allowed to have anything to do with it being released.

I thought that Between Us Two eventually turned into a song on III?

Thanks for the information guys. That's really interesting and sad stuff there, especially about 'Between Us Two' which I had never heard about until now. Hopefully it will turn up one day.

I've heard that as well, and it does make sense as a number of unreleased bits did get reused in someway on III (Most obviously, "Dirty Water Dog" being based on the old "I Want Some Action" demo they did in '86).

Between Us Two

You are right. Between Us Two became Year to the Day with Gary. Would like to hear but probably will never surface.

I'm guessing there is TONS of demos, outakes, and interesting stuff locked somewhere in the 5150 studios. We would all love to hear them, but probably won't get a chance until post-partum Eddie, unfortunately.
Maybe Wolfie will step up and try to get this stuff out.
