Journey w/ Michael Bolton - Guitars101

I read somewhere that Michael Bolton stood in for Steve Perry at some award show (Bammies?) performance. If this is true, does anyone have it? Thanks in advance.

You are correct. Michael sang a few songs with Journey during the Bammies. On the other hand, I have never heard that any audio or video exists of the performance. I was always interested to hear what Journey would sound like with Bolton on lead. He is one heck of a vocalist in his own right. Maybe the music gods with unveil a surprise for our listening pleasure....

Really wish i had this too, but unfortunately i don't. I too have never heard of anyone who has this. I have never seen it listed anywhere either. Someone, somewhere may have something, i wish that someone was me.

Thanks for replying. I am not the biggest Bolton fan (his early stuff is better) but, just like you, I would love to hear that different voice with the Journey sound. Hmmmm, maybe someday.

That would be a total cheesefest. Michael Bolton is a joke, it would be like David Hasselhoff singing with them. It's almost as bad as Journey hiring some Filipino karaoke singer off of Youtube to be their replacement for Steve... oh wait.. that really happened :/

Ya know, I hear so many people knocking Arnel Pineda with Journey. I think the kid is quite good. Nobody will ever replace Steve Perry but I think Neal did a good job finding someone that has brought some much needed life and energy back into the band, So what if Journey hired some Filipino karaoke singer off of Youtube to be their replacement for Steve. I bet you wouldn't mind swapping paychecks with him for a week.
