I was at that show. It was Yngwie, Metallica, Ratt, and the Scorpions. I was 15 years old at the time. What a fucking awesome show... to see them way back when Cliff was still alive.... classic concert.

Seeing Metallica at Day on the Green and later seeing them on the Gun 'n' Roses co-headlining tour when they were playing at Irvine Texas Stadium... Those were classic Metallica moments. (They had the Metal Church guitarist playing because James Hetfield's arm was still bandaged from that pyrotechnics accident.)

I was in the front row and James jumped down in the pit during Seek and Destroy. I remember him singing "Search Annnnnnnd"... (then pointing the mic toward me and the crowd.) "SEEK AND DESTROY!"

Anyway, the reason why I posted here was because I was searching for old bootlegs of this show and this thread came up in Google.

Did anyone ever find a "quality" bootleg of it?

Thanks.

I was at this concert as well. You missed two bands (see the asterisks):

Victory (opening band)*
Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force
Metallica
Y & T*
RATT
Scorpions

One of the best Day on the Green's I attended.

I downloaded the one that was on here, but it was an audience recording...not that great....been looking for a soundboard, 'cause that clip on Cliff 'em All is probably the best Metallica I've ever heard........where is the whole soundboard show?????
