This is one of George's all-time classics. It's not a real technical piece, but playing it cleanly with the right feeling is a challenge. This was about as close as I could get. I also played the bass on this and winged it most of the time, but hopefully it's worth a listen.

i for one think you did a really nice job on this. played it great, tone was really nice and you did a pretty good job on the bass too. good post and a very enjoyable listen.

Can't get enough of the jazzy tunes. Ksdb, great song choice. Very articulate and beautifully played with amazing tone. Great job on the bass playing too. Nicely mixed and sounds fantastic. Five circles in Z formation!

I'd like to hear more covers like this if you have them.

Thanks much!! I'm always inspired by your melodic and jazzy phrasing in your covers and thought it would be fun to go for a straight jazz song.

This is a new one for me , what a class Bass sound , really spot on , hell this is smooth and mellow , very sweet Lead sound , i do like this tone , gotta be a Les Paul , but your gonna tell me its a Peavey Wolfgang

, whatever i do like the arrangement and the doubling up around 2:9 . Splendid stuff indeed .

Art, this was a Variax 500 on the ES335 (semi-hollow) setting and a Rickenbacker 4000 for the bass guitar. If you don't get a bass anytime soon, I'd be more than happy to record some live bass tracks for any of your projects and let you handle the rest. Just PM me.

Beutiful!!! just caught this one!!! And i'm glad i did!!! Wonderful playing there Joe......the bass is very clean and present, well played.....but i really like the tone from the v-ax!! sounds incredibly true to a real 335....Whole tune was great!!! I have a 300 v-ax....just need to actually sit down and see what she does!!! LOL!!!
