In The Air Tonight/Phil Collins.....Virtual Chaos
Hey gang! I know you don't usually see V.C. posting the here in general section but this is a little different for us. Steve had the idea to cover I.T.A.T. by Phil Collins not too long ago and asked me collab w/ him on it. I've gotta say this is probably my favorite backing that he's made so far. I think the drums really came out pretty amazing considering it came from a midi. I played the (sparce) guitars and gave an ambitious vocal attempt. I'm more than happy with the way this came out, Steve I've said it before you're a top-notch musician and a hell of a producer! We passed the mix back and forth quite a few times w/ Steve making suggestions that in the end made all the difference. Hope you all enjoy it!

Wow! This was totally brilliant!
Love your vocals on this one. Different from what we usually hear from you, but you pulled this of extremely well!
Backing is great too. Lots of tension and emotion in this one

This sounds great!! I agree that the drums sound really good. The backer as a whole is great. The vocals sound fantastic. Really enjoyed listening.

Awesome Matt. Was thinking somebody should cover this song one of these days. You guys really did some sweet things to make it distinctive. Nice to see you have a softer side to your vocal style too. Your harmonies are cool too in the middle. Real big sound in that middle part as well.

Pretty awesome cover! The sound quality was great, and the vocals too One thing i didn't like were the drums during most of the song. I think they were supposed to be quiter or a bit more electronic. Great cover of a great song!

Cut...print it...and send it off to distribution!! This was a fantastic version..to me more apprehensive than the original (which is saying a mouthful imo). Great great job. Truely a longing feel to it!!

Very ambitious! This would be very fitting for the new Miami Vice movie recently. Totally kick ass job guys! BTW, what font package did you use for the drums?

Hey all, Thanks a bunch for the kind comments. Very much appreciated. With Vocals like Matt's I knew this would be lifted to a much better place and sparce or not the guitar part is really soooo on the money IMO.
EJ, That's a 'Roland TD10 Woody' soundfont, with some reverb, compression and volume.
Thanks again all!!!

You guys are all awesome! Makes all the work well worth it. Thank you!
BTW E.J. there is a band called Non-point who has a version of this on the new Miami Vice soundtrack. That's where I got the ending harmony ideas. They rock!
