Little Red Rooster - Acoustic dual slides, vox
Its an old blues standard alot of people cover, i recently heard the Doors version, and wow they did a kicka@@ version. so although i can't sing like Jim Morrison, i gave it a shot. Focused on playing some weird bluesy acoustic slide licks also, hope you enjoy.
I need feedback on this mix, is the vox to loud? Is anything clipping? its hard for me to tell since i got old and tiny speakers that clip for everything, and headphones that tend to lie to me.
Well any feedback on anything is welcome, Enjoy

I didnt notice any clipping and it seemed to be recorded nicely. I felt that the guitar was a little too busy . After listening to your version a couple of times theres no doubt that you're a musician and guitar player with an above average degree of talent. Your guitar playing on this song kind of reminded me of an octapus trying to dance on dry ground though. I hope you take that with a smile as it was intended? I just feel that the old blues songs should be kept very simple and that you tried to do too much with it in this case.

Hey thanks everyone, i thoroughly enjoyed all of your comments. Glad none of you took notice on how off key my singing is, thats usually the only thing I hear when I do these kind of tunes. It just always seems to stick out for me, but i guess I'm worst critic.

Very honest and pure performance. I loved the looseness and impromptu atmosphere, simply beautiful!

This is very refreshing. Your vocals are actually quite authentic for the piece (better than Jaggers version ). Badams may have a point on how busy the guitars are because this song is quite a stark song but I congratulate you on your interpretation - in fact most of your posts have been very cool and honest.
Bloody great version mate

This is great Cormak!! I loved the fact that you have the guitars panned hard left and right. I could picture 2 old blues guys jamin' and playin' off each other. Your vocal was right on...Maybe one off note early on but you slid up to it. Sounded authentic and made me want to listen to it again. Great slide work also. I never could quite get the hang of it.....keep em' coming!!

Holy crap, I can't believe I missed this. I thought I was the king of the slide guitar - but it looks like I have some competition now doesn't it!
I think it sounds realy Bluesy man - the vocals are spot on. They seem mixed just right to me.
And stereo slide guitars? What could be better!
I love it man. .
