Norman Greenbaum- Spirit In The Sky Scott Parnell and JPF
Here is a classic for yas all,,,, Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit In The Sky" I Used my Pod 2.0 and my mex strat and my jackson for the guitar parts,, used guitar pro 5 backing,, and asked JPF to add some vocals over this. I must say that JPF sure did add some killer vocals to this,, and thankyou for doing so bud. Hope ya all enjoy.

You did a great job capturing that 60s fuzz tone. Thought John could be a touch louder in the mix. Liked your fills a lot. This is one of your stronger covers. Good post Scott!!

Hi Mr. Parnell.
Very nicely done. You werent kidding about the vocals. I'm here to tell you man. That cat can sing. I wish the level would have been set a little higher on his mic though. A great job done on a good song

THanks everyone for the great comments!!! Really thought Scott did an awesome job here....liked how he kept the "spirit",if you will, of the original, but still made it his own!!!! And yea, the vox is a tad low in the mix...totally my fault...ears had gotten tired and should have taken a break and gave it another listen, but i had made Scott wait long enough for it as it was!!! Thanks again folks!!!!!

Do I detect some serious Billy Gibbons influence here!!! This sounds to me as how I would imagine the track if it was covered by ZZ Top!!!
Brilliant job on guitars and vocals, loved it.............. much better groove than the original IMHO.
