Only The Young/ Journey
here is one of my favorite journey songs. i did the guitars and vocals over a midi track. i'm getting a little more used to my new vocal preamp and was able to get a better blend on the harmony than i did on who's crying now. hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening

Fantastic! Would you post "Who's Crying Now" as well? Excellent job on this!
I have been a on a Journey kick since seeming them here in Dallas a few weeks ago, blasting my Greatest Hits CD almost every day

Jeez Kenny!!! Sorry i missed this!!! But now i found it!!! And this is just INCREDIBLE!!!!! LOVE Journey, and you just aced this bro!!! Guitars are PERFECT....layed in low on the verses, coming up nicely on the inbetweens and solo spots!!!! And your vocals are STUNNING!!! Fantastic harmonies!!! I gotta go a full 5 on this, no doubt about it!!!!!

thanks for the nice comments my good friends. i sang this one in one of my bands for a few years. we had to drop most of the journey tunes in my present band because the other 2 guys can't do harmony well. they can do lead vocals fine but just have a hard time with harmony.

Some people would disagree but this world needs more Journey. Nothing like a great feeling arena rock anthem with a bit of 80s melodrama storyline. Great song, one of my favorites. Guitar has excellent crunch and clarity. The only problem is the backing track is too obviously midi with poor bank selection and the levels are too high that the midi rhythm guitar is overriding the lead guitar and vocals...and Steve Perry is a tough act to follow, the harmonies don't really fit in with the song since harmonies only really appear at certain peaks in anthem rock and not throughout but I bloody love the solo.

Yeah I had that problem too. I suppose it's kinda hard to enounciate when you're in the high Steve Perry register.
