PJs Pump
You all know that song by Jeff Beck, The Pump? I found a cool BT of it. I layed down some quick lead to it. This was a one taker, it's not perfect. I'm just winging it. But some parts really shine I guess.
Lemme know what you all think k?

Very cool and just what I needed to hear on a scorching hot day like today (Officially a level 3 heatwave ). I like the glassy tone on this (not so keen on phasers - but thats just me.) There are some really cool riffs in the 4:00-4:25 section that really work and hold the suspense. Cool post

Great stuff here Pee Jay! Sometimes it's nice to just play, and don't worry about beeing perfect or note for note, just do your thing.
And the whole thing can end up sounding quite good to, apparently

Thanks a lot bro.
Yeah I feel sometimes that I'm wasting my time playing to Backing Tracks. I should write original tunes instead.

You got me there!! I really never got on with Flangers or Phasers - I think they sound wonderful for drums but I always hated what they made my guitar sound like. It is all about personal preference though and maybe thats why EVH managed to prove me wrong on numerous occasions
Its a great, honest cover here and it has a cool vibe by the way you have jammed it out. I like that

Eddie Van Halen used the MXR Flanger to nice effect on songs like Unchained. I was trying to mess about with something like that on this track.
My buddy Drew has an original old school MXR Flanger, I'm trying to get him to find it so I can borrow it, hehh..

You have a very melodic, laid back style, PJ. Lovely tone and phrasing. Thanks for the post, I enjoyed listening to this.

I love the feel. The tone is really great as well. It's definetly true imo: Sometimes that first take says a lot more without the polish. Great to hear it man!

I have a few days off while my big truck is getting fixed. (Clutch Brake is fried) So I may re-do this baby the right way.
