Themes from Video Killed The Radio Star

I think today was MTV's 26th anniversary so I made this variation on a theme from the Buggle's "Video Killed The Radio Star." I used a cheap Stratocaster in to an GK-3 pick-up into a VG-88 (still experimenting so please excuse the sloppiness.)

The acoustic guitar and the arrangement is really cool. Did you do that through the Strat and VG-88 too?? The synth tones work very cool and you have some good layered sounds in there too. Thumbs up on the creative approach to the song.

Thank you everyone!

Yes...the acoustic guitar sound....all the sounds are from my Squire Stratocaster in to the VG-88. As a matter of fact, all of the guitar's guts are ripped out...electronics, pick-ups, everything. Only the GK-3 is screwed on right in front of the bridge...so it looks sort of wierd but it works.

A very cool version of this. I really liked the vocal melody line, sounded great!
