This Charming Man - The Smiths
Ok - they are a bit gay but I love The Smiths - brilliant guitarist and bass even if it is a bit whiny and British
I posted it before with a crappy midi bass line and decided I would have a bash at doing with a real bass. It was a real killer on bass - I probably would have left it well alone had I realised
It's rough but it holds together fairly well considering I never mixed it as such.

I can't say that I'm familiar with that song or the smiths. Either way I thought you sang and played it very well.
Cool stuff GP.

Fine version here all round, guitar, bass and vocals are all great. Although I don't own any Smiths albums, I am familiar with a lot of their stuff and your cover is spot on!!
Did you do the vocals with a bunch of flowers stuck in the arse pocket of your jeans?!! lol lol.
How about "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" as your next Smiths cover? It's a great song and on hearing your take on this one, I'm sure you'd make an excellent job of it!!!

I dont think I've ever heard the smiths before... I've heard the name plenty of times, and I guess this was an ok tune.
It'll probably grow on me. But I like your original compositions better
Still, great job on this one. Don't get me wrong, I like it.

Very cool Porty!!! Not really big on the 80's pop stuff, but i do know that the Smiths we're big in the underground circuit. Used to hear all the kids back in the day talking about them, mainly Morrisey...... You really have a way with the Brit pop/punk/new wave styles..... your production is fantastic, playing is great as always!!!! To me, you can do no wrong....whatever you do, stands above most!!!!! Great track mate!!!!

Wow!! I really thought this would disappear and hardly get any listens!! Thank you all so much for the feedback and plaudits. I really didn't expect them and I am pretty shocked. Thanks again
