WahWah...SRV 'Lenny' (long time no post!)
It's been a while since I posted anything up here at 101. Anyway, some Stevie Ray Vaughan. Used a PODxt and my Levinson Blade Texas Deluxe.

Welcome back, Chris.
The Pod and the guitar combine for a very good tone. And then there's your fingers... Well done, my friend!

Great cover! I played this tune at a poetry and singing competition - I was forced into it without being told what it was; they had to make a new category for me :P
Welcome back!

Another smashing cover to add to your back catalog Chris. And another smashing tone too. Git. Superb.
Gave ya 5 stars, though it would appear someone had previous given you 1, so it's on 3... no wonder we don't post here anymore huh

I'm new so maybe my opinion won't account for much, but...
In some parts, you're not swinging it enough, your notes are too fixed and perfectly quantized, in other areas, you're playing straight triplets so the swinging is too far out.
Also, in the parts where your runs are true to the original, your timing seems too hurried - you start the whole run earlier than it should be there.
This is one of those songs that initially sounds so easy to play, and then when you get into it, you realize the rhyhm of the notes is the challenge. He's got the whole song played in a semi-tripletted fashion. And no, I don't know what that's called other than "awesome".
Tone wise: kill the compressor. Apply the compression after the fact instead of before going into the recorder. Use your volume knob to go from the clean-to-dirty parts in the song. That will also give the song a whole lot more dynamics.
On the one hand, it's not bad at all, I'm just trying to step up and give you the comments/criticism you're looking for. Hope I didn't tick you off.

Yeah, I'd agree with those points. I'm not very confident with this track...kinda hallowed ground. Funny thing is I never try to improve on it either. Thanks for the comments even if they were a year old!
