Wahwah "while My Guitar Gently Weeps"
This is one of those that I've been meaning to do for years and never got round to. I know there is a version out there that Vinnie Moore did so I suppose I tried to do in that style but didn't have the track to compare so just threw my usual she-bang in. Backing track is a bit harsh so that's why I went for a Gary Moore style tone to try and cover up the cymbals etc...might have been better finding a better backer but there ya go!

Listening to this now. Nice job, Wah But your guitar doesn't seem very sad, but more perky with some of those fast runs

I forgot to add that you do remind me of Paul Gilbert at some parts...probably no surprise with that 'Burning Organ' avatar!

Cool stuff here Chris! Guitar playing is great as always and the arrangement was cool. But why didnt you sing it?? I think your voice would fit this track great.
Have you heard Jeff Healeys version of this one btw? It's great, love the way he plays the intro!

Hi mate, I thought about singing it but I haven't done anything for a while now on the guitar and I still haven't got my voice back from all the colds and flu we've had. Plus I find it a chew having to set it all up in mono to record it. And yeah, I have heard Jeff Healey's version but I'd forgotten all about it. I have the album but they're all locked away so that 20 month old hands can't get them and use them as potentially lethal frisbees!

Hey, thanks Magnus, Sis and Dreams...much appreciated. I found a great backing track for Vinnie Moore's 'Rain' so I'm gonna try and learn the original...it's very similar with the soaring thing!
Sis, Jeff Healey is still a cool dude, I just remember him in 'Roadhouse' which, despite it's cheesey 80's overtones, was a cool film. I always wanted to own and run a place like the Roadhouse! (without the fights!)

Smooth Chris ..... VERY smooth. Hit the GM tone right on the head again I hear (I could still hear the cymbals, tho' I wouldn't have bothered about 'em if you hadn't pointed 'em out).
So how much of it's improv', compared to the structured harmonies then?
