I've been trying to get this particular solo down for a while now. I know what tap harmonics are and I've memorized most of the patterns he uses live but on this particular piece I can't seem to get it right. I dont have that many effects but I do own a phase 90 and a delay unit built into my amp and I'm not quite sure if it reguires delay. I know the tabs for the song in my head but everytime I play it, it comes out as a blurr or atleast the 9,9,9 (tapping on all 3 strings on that fret) works out but the indivigual tapping comes out rather crappy sounding. Does he use a compressor or is there an easier technique to playing this piece?

I'm typing this from memory. I don't know what tab you are using. I just improvise on the solo. So you're doing 9,9,9 (tapping at the 21st fret). Then what I do is a 7,8,9, (barring those and tapping at the 19,20,21 frets). Then I slide down to the 5,6,7 ( barre tapping at the 17,18,19 frets). Then tap each individual string once... 5,6,7. Or something like that.
