I'm not sure if there is a way to tell if your interest rises

Other than clicking the scales to see what you are currently at, that's about as far and as interested I got into discovering the cosmic marvels of reputation points. I guess if I hang around here long enough some day, I'm sure it will be crystal clear what they are good for.
