Black Sabbath: 1977 & 1978 British Biscuit (Pre-FM Master Reels) FLAC!

Black Sabbath: 1977 & 1978 British Biscuit (Pre-FM Master Reels) FLAC!

PRE FM REEL > CDR > WAV (EAC) > FLAC
Transfer by Joe Fierce

Broadcast 1977-01-16:
1. Symptom of the Universe
2. War Pigs
3. Gypsy
4. Children of the Grave

Broadcast 1978-09-17:
5. Snowblind
6. Black Sabbath Introduction
7. Black Sabbath
8. Iron Man
9. Paranoid
Notes from Joe Fierce
I stole these reels from a radio station vault in southern Illinois that I had access to back in college. I did the transfers with a Teac A-2340R reel machine straight to my Phillips CD burner. I have no information on the actual show dates, the reels only came marked with the broadcast dates, which I have included. The 1977 reel had a cue sheet, which I scanned and included as well. The sound quality on these is incredible. This is the best Black Sabbath stuff that I have not seen in circulation. Enjoy...
FLAC (keep it that way except for personal use)

I heard about these from another bootin' buddy a couple of days ago (I forget which torrent site he got 'em from) -- thank you!

Thanks! I always squirm a bit when things make it into circulation through theft, but I am very excited to hear this shows.

Lossless Black Sabbath - you, sir, are a gentleman.

as you know, those are the broadcast dates .
The actual dates and venues are
Civic Arena Pittsburgh, PA 12/8/76 (often mis-labeled as London 78)
Civic Arena Pittsburgh, PA 9/2/78

Many thanks

What an amazing Black Sabbath post. Many thanks. Here is some info. I found out about the shows:

Civic Arena Pittsburgh 8th December 1976 FM Source: (From “British Biscuit” FM Broadcast and WAR PIGS IN PENNSYLVANIA bootleg): Symptom Of The Universe, War Pigs, Gypsy, Children Of The Grave.
There are two sources for this show. The first is an excellent FM tape that was recorded for the King Biscuit Flower Hour (and British Biscuit) and an incomplete VG audience recording (approximately 80 minutes).

Civic Arena Pittsburgh 2nd September 1978 Original FM Broadcast: Snowblind, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, Paranoid
Radio Broadcasts: BRITISH BISCUIT (1978 D.I.R.): This is the best source available, but probably not so easy to find. This was distributed to radio stations on reel to reel. The original broadcast date was 9/17/78 and also included a set from Robin Trower.

This info came from the sabbathlive.com website.

I kinda laughed at blinky's comment. While I agree with him that theft of personal property is always wrong, bootlegging by its very nature is a form of theft-- just not in "tangible" form.

I guess you can always return them anonymously -but I am glad for the act - and can appreciate the lustful zeal to covet this beautiful jewel
