Notes: I was contacted last summer by an FBO member named Wayne Catalde. He let me know that he had
the Cassettes and I was welcome to remaster them for a future tree as his way of giving back to the
Zep Community. I was honored to do so. I know many of you Zep fans probably have 1/2 dozen versions
of this historic show. The story behind these Cassettes is what makes this so special to me. From
the local tape shop were Mike bought his blanks. A person working there noticed this same guy coming in
and buying up big amounts of blanks. He asked what they were for and Millard told him that he taped concerts.
They became friends and made a deal, Free blanks for Mikes taped shows.

I have listened to alot of "low gen" sources for this show. They all have "Millard Markings" most common
are cuts during No Quarter & Guitar solo. Those 2 songs are complete. Mike would also put in pulse channel
dropouts after his tape flips & and would put silent spots on some of the songs. I guess that is how he
kept track of his trades. These are clean from those "Markings" and they are the best sounding of all the
low gen versions I have heard.

I want to thank Wayne for letting me remaster this show.
I asked him to watch this thread and answer any questions or comments you might have.

This is the last one from me for awhile so please enjoy

DO NOT SELL IN ANY FORMAT
DO NOT MP3
PLEASE TRADE FREELY

NB: If you get a corrupt file message on 'Ten Years Gone' wen un-raring, use this method,
it worked for me and the file plays fine...

Heres a little Winrar Tip if you ever experience a problem called CRC Failure when you try to extract an archive...

1. Go to Winrar via the Start Menu or if you have a shortcut on your desktop then double click and open it.

2. In Winrar you click File > Open Archive and then select the archive you want to "Unrar". Then Select the "Extract To" Icon in the toolbar on top. A new window should open up asking where you would like to extract the file from the archive to...

3. Now in that same window, under "Miscellaneous" (left hand bottom) check the box that says "Keep Broken Files".

4. Now click "Ok" and let it extract... once it has extracted... the CRC error will show up as usual. Just click Close on CRC Error window..............And you file should be in perfect shape despite still getting a warning.

If its a media file then use VLC Media Player to play it whether its audio or video. VLC may ask you to repair the broken file, but dont select the option to repair it or else, then there would be errors.

Gents,

I respect all of you and wanted to assert that this is NOT in fact, the best version of this show..

Take a listen to the "Scorpio" version that gives Plant's vocals the much needed boost..and is sonically superior to the Winston remaster.

Has quickly become a dead tie with the 6/23/77 Sgt Peppers Badgeholders show for one of the best boots (performance and sound) I have in my collection...

(JL, great Call on the "Snowjob" 1975 Vancover boot too by the way! WOW!)

I am humbled by the superior knowledge of the Ledheads on this board

please keep spreading the magic moments around!

thanks (again)..

maga links are still working fine..

I will listen to ths vs. Scorpio and report back...

I have become a bit obsessed with this show.. Bonham must have had a few energy drink before he arrived...

His drums sound like a 9mm machine gun!

and hearing the crowd's excitement actually helps the listening expereince (as a SBD collector, I thought I would never suggest that!)

JL,

Holy Cr*p! you were correct!

The "Genuine Masters"' version IS THE Gold standard for Listen to this Eddie!

Almost sounds like a commercially released live bootleg..

Scorpio/ Snorpio!...(tosses other version in the trash)

Thanks again my brother..
