Sabotage's remastered release of the 2002 Celebration. The release opens with perhaps the most guitar heavy show of the entire Celebration and includes two phenomenal and rather unique versions of both 'Something In The Water' and 'I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man'. The source recording during 'The Ride' was flawed, however Sabotage have attempted to correct the problem, and whilst it isn't perfect it IS a big improvement over Premium's release. This release contains the most complete version of the 23rd June show (Disc 2). Whilst the other 2 releases have chosen to edit out 'Sweet Baby', and the complete 'The Ghetto', Sabotage have left it intact and it is to their eternal credit that they have. Also worthy of note is that during Renato's keyboard solo during the 24th June show (Disc 5), they have edited out part of the recording where the audience are talking rather loudly. The Thunderball release is the only one which has the complete keyboard interlude - so you see, sometimes boot companies leave stuff in, other times they sneakily edit (albeit flawlessly) parts out. As with all these Xenophobia Celebration 2002 releases the content, quality and set-lists are so amazing that it would just be cruel and unfair to be too harsh. These are brilliant documents of a very funky (but far too sermonising) part of Prince's career.
