the album that is from is "Land of the Midnight Sun" around 1975 I suggest every one get it . It is a real "Shred" (if not the 1st) album I ever heard. The original has Chick corea (?SP) playing acoustic piano in John`s place The electric stuff on the album is awesome ,his tone is great . he uses a Gibson "Black Beauty" Les paul (an old custom). I highly recommend this cd as well as "Blow by Blow" ( a Jeff Beck instumental) which also came out around 1975.This was Jeff`s intro to "fusion" .........best move he ever made. Diamond Thank you for these awesome trinkets of great music.

Thank you very much for this video. Al Di Meola is a great player. Elegant Gypsy, Land Of The Midnight Sun, Electric Rendezvous, casino, Friday Night In San Francisco with Al Di Meola, John Mclaughlin and Paco de Lucia, Splendido Hotel and Kiss My Axe are all great albums. Al is the best.
