Queen + Paul Rodgers DVD Promo Video
I know I havent posted in a while, but I had to share this with all of you. Those who are classic rock fans will appreciate this for exactly what it is...and if you're like me, it'll send chills down your spine...particularly HERE at G101, cause this song has one of the most addictive and famous guitar riffs ever in it..
Words just cannot describe this.
Just to see that. To see that giant curtain drop, and hear that song again, and see those drumsticks twirling in the air...that's just bad ass...and to hear the songs again, performed live...is just beyond what words can express.
I got a promo copy of this, and I thought I'd share it with all of you. It's 70 MB, but it's SO worth it...I promise...

Thanks a lot!
I'm a huge Queen fan and saw them in Cologne, Germany this year and they totally kicked ass!!! Can't wait to get their "Return of the Champions" CD and DVD!
Got a few bootlegs from this year's European tour. Maybe I'll upload a show if I find some time over the weekend.

No, John Deacon decided to retire after Freddie's death. He only did a few shows together with Brian and Roger (i.e. the Freddie Mercury Tribute at Wembley Stadium in 1992 and an appearance with Elton John in Paris in 1997) and recorded the single "No-one But You" for their 1997 compilation "Queen Rocks".
Today he stays out of showbusiness and spends most of his time with his family.

That's really cool, thanks for posting it.
My only complaint is about the "backing band"...
They want to showcase "Queen" meaning orignal members, so the bass player (and another guitarist) are kept in the dark. Why not just let them be out on stage in the lights with everyone else?
Other bands do this like Fleetwood Mac, and Green Day. Green Day has another guy on stage playing guitar but since he is not an offical member of the band he is off to the side and mostly in the dark.
Besides that, the DVD looks really cool. Obviously we want to watch Brian May anyway so it all works out in the end. Sure makes me miss Freddie though. I think he would approve. Paul Rodgers does a great job and sounds alot like Freddie at times, yet he doesn't come across like he is trying to be a replacement. Should be a great DVD.

One thing I will say is I am sick of people comparing Paul to Freddie.
A MESSAGE TO THOSE PEOPLE- He's not Freddie, he isn't even trying to be him, so stop comparing the 2.

I'll see them in about two weeks here in Quebec, Canada. I love PR voice, i don't want him to be Fred, i just wants him to be himself...and it works..i like his bluesy input on the songs...
if you wanna see more of the new Queen, Guitar One magasine, November edition, has another song on their CD: We are the Champions...
I'm going to the concert because all of those guys are part of legendary bands: Blue Oyster, Bad Company, and Queen of course!
I would love to see mega bands, like ASIA or the Hughes Turner Project, or Liquid Tension Experiment...damn it is like having a best of!!!!lol

Ok, I started uploading the this year's Budapest show over at savefile.com, but only after 3 songs a message came telling me that all fileservers are full, so I guess I'll have to wait until I can finish this show.
Anyway, here are the first three files (Intro, Reaching Out, Tie Your Mother Down): http://savefile.com/projects.php?pid=916161
I'll finish this show as soon as possible!
Enjoy!
