I’ll add this. Video source(s) is same as original thread post which is velvet-revolver.com. I’ve attended the Rock Am Ring festival twice in 2005 and 2002. Saw VR play in 2005 and have video. - Enjoy

Review: A+ live performance even with the non-familiar new material from "Libertad". The band was tight, clean, and I think #1 performance of the three day festival, although some may say a tie for #1 with The
Smashing Pumpkins if they are your bag. VR's setlist and performance was a very powerful mix of new material along with classic VR, GNR, and STP songs. Their performance was also stronger than when they played at the Rock Am Ring in 2005, which I have the full video. A number of good new songs performed with "Let it Roll" a great opener and "Just Sixteen" kicking serious butt. I didn't like VR's new single and music video "She Builds Quick Machines". Looked and sounded like VR was forced by the label to do it for kids commercial mass-market appeal. However, it sounded good live in this setlist. I particularly liked their Talking Heads cover of Psycho Killer with Slash laying down some killer slide guitar and showcasing himself to the crowd along with Scott "Beam Me Up" Weiland dead-on solid with the vocals. Looks like PK it is on the European but not North American release of the new album per the tracks lists of "Libertad" supplied by Sony/BMG/RCA. All-in-all, of the five new songs performed, I though only SBQM was somewhat weak. Looking forward to hearing the entire "Libertad" album when it's released next month. VR never goes wrong closing out a set with Mr. Brownstone and Slither, as they also did at the 2005 RAR. The backstage interview with Slash and Duff screwing with the German interviewer's head is R-n-R road life funny. D/L links courtesy velvet-revolver.com. - DavidLee
