Metal Factor is on a distinguished road

2 Originals For ya

Here's two of my new originals. Very 1980's-ish.

The first one I wrote a few months back. I actually sang this one, dont ask me why. I tried to make guitar solos 1 & 3 sound kinda like Satriani back in the Not of This Earth days. Guitar solos 2 & 4 are more like Tony MacAlpine from 1995 & up. Thicker distortion and six-string sweep-taps at the end. Some people have told me this song reminds them of a cross between Survivor and Whitesnake.

Randy Cuffe - "No Promise of Return"

The second one I recorded last week, and sounds very 1980's as well. I used a lot of layering guitars, sometimes up to 6 guitars can be heard at once, in stereo. I guess the rhythm of the song is late 80's Satch -style, but it just kind of happened that way, because I still haven't figured out this stupid drum machine.

Randy Cuffe - "Ashes Remain"

Enjoy!
