another work in progress. I like the rythem change at the solo. I need to find a better way to do drum tracks (ie: find new software) but over all i think it's interesting. once again and as always any comments/suggestions/critiques would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I liked it too, Very cool rythem guitar, sounded like early eighties Black Sabath-Ozzy´s , not that I´m too crazy about them, but it sure had the vibe Good job!

pretty cool tune. the playing is good and there is a lot of colour in here. the drums are pretty decent sounding to my ears. the bass sounds like a stock midi sound though and could be much improved with a decent soundfont.
Good track mate

Hey guys thanks for listening!
sjmjr-thanks for checking it out dude
bleedingpinky-thanks for the listen, i grew up on 80's metal and even though i like other types of music now i guess its imprinted on my dna and whenever i try to write a lot of it has that flavor. Thanks again for checking it out!
Goport-Really cool that took a listen!I have a lot of respect for your song composition skills. I did the bass in cakewalk staff view but i can't export it as a midi file. therefore i cant import it into fruity loops which is where my soundfonts are. is there a way to use soundfonts in cakewalk that you know of? thanks again to all for posting!!!!!!

Rythameen-thanks for stopping in! Hopefully i can get the bass sounding

bluesplayer- Thanks for the tips!! I've got a lot to learn about this home

Very nice rythym. Lots of color there and nice playing.
I agree that using soundfonts in place of the stock midi instruments will definately give it a true to life feeling.
I have been using soundfonts loaded into Fruity Loops to get all my instruments in my compositions and sometimes it sounds so realistic it is hard to believe that a real band isn't playing the score.
The instruments in the Jazz piece I did (She's So Fine), that is here in the originals section somewhere, are all soundfonts and it was produced in Fruity Loops. When I finished it and added post effects in Adobe Audition, I was more than satisfied. It sounds like a real band and it takes you back to another era. Amazing what you can do with computers these days hehe.

Here is a link to a soundfont library. They have tons.
http://hammersound.net/cgi-bin/soundlink.pl
Your soundcard must support Soundfonts to use them in a sequencer I think.
I know The Soundblaster Live and Audigy series do, but not sure about the others.
I use two soundcards. The Live I use for playback (and sequencing) and I use my AC97 for recording because I have too many Latency issues with the Live.
