I can't remember what i called it .. but it's with my friend playing bass ....
i might just add as well that back then i used to play exclusively with my fingers and i never used a pick so keep that in mind!

Re: an oldy of mine
Hey this is nice and clean, sweet arpeggios in there too. I am going to start calling you Steely Stig You know it would be fun to play to this backing track, can you post just that part so some of us can have a stab at it?

Re: an oldy of mine
Yeah you should really listen to Steely Dan when you get a chance, it's really good clean music just like what you do. That's cool if you don't have the backing track, it just sounds like a fun thing to play over and lately I have been too lazy to put one together which is why it's been a while since I have made a new recording. If you do decide to put one up I wouldn't worry about charting it out, I will just play to what I hear anyway.

Re: an oldy of mine
I know that I am slow in listening and commenting to a lot of stuff here, but the talent here has honestly blown me away. This recording is a HUGE, IMO. It was focused on the tune and the feel, it was tracked without attempts at overproducing. Tasteful with the guitar and bass. This makes me think that the MP3 of the month may be missing something…there should be a Hall of Fame for tracks that did not win, but are awesome and deserve a listen. Some come here and can only download a handful of songs...let's give them stuff like this!
Well done!

Re: an oldy of mine
Agreed, this is a great song. I have thought about putting something like "Preferred" next to some posts but who rates them? Unless there is a poll or some sort of public voting involved it would show favoritism. I like the idea that anyone can come here and post without having to worry about that. One thing that we can do is "Rate" a thread, it's fair and can only be done once, just like the MP3 contest polls. It's located at the bottom of any post.

Re: an oldy of mine
wow thanks guys ,
i didn't expect this kinda reaction !
i'll work on the backing for you tonight it shouldn't take me long .
i guess i can always put it in this months comp
thanks again i'm really glad you guys like this stuff cause that's mostly what i write. i could never write harder riffs like van halen etc even though it's primarily what i listen to . strange huh ?
