Re: an original i made with a bass player

ok i've had a few listens now !

i liked the piano riff alot .. i thought it was a good intro to the song and your playing wasn't sloppy at all that bass intro is real cool too !

i thought you did a good job keeping your lead in time with the piano as well that can be really quite hard to do without the drums and stuff behind you ...

once the drums kicked in .. i thought it was a wicked backing by the bass .. perfect setup for a great solo !

your lead playing on this part was great too nothing too over the top which i thought was appropriate.. you had some cool licks in there and you played comfortably and appropriately when the chord changes came in .. cool riff as well !

one little thing i noticed though is sometimes you play the riff towards the end and the pinch harmonic you play is kinda ... lifeless ? i dunno if that's an appropriate word no vibrato or anything like that .... ... i'm just nitpicking here ! it's just a small thing i notice pointless thigns like taht all the time ! i liked it though ! who wrote the song ? .. or did you both write your own little parts to it ?

Re: an original i made with a bass player

thanks stiglar for the advice on the pinch harmonic thing as for writing the song the bass player came up eith the bass and drums he sent it to me then i added piano and guitar to my likeing which is my ideas. we both wrote the parts seperately. glad ya liked it i wanted to shred on this but for this type of drums and bass,, i wanted to keep it close to what it wass going for i thought shred would have been inappropiate for it. thanks for the tidbit as well. I will work on that indeed.

I agree with Stiglar, the piano part is dramatic and well done and I like the leads. From my laptop it sounds like the leads are a little hot but I can't be sure until I hear it on my main system.
