Bad Posture Demo
This is a demo me and my buddies recorded way back when 80's butt rock was still happening. I take full responsibility for all cheese because I wrote the tunes. The singer wrote the lyrics. I will post all four songs starting with the real version of No Quarter.

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Grave Digger, a deliberate attempt at cheese. We all got a good laugh out of it.

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Thanks, yeah I thought I might get so that about the singer. He's more of a standard type vocalist.

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Eric, I had a a great time listening to these tunes at home last night.
I love that Grave Digger piece. It's sooo funny,
The playing is great and it sounds nice. It's cool you have that tape.
Now you must post a picture of that lineup. Please, pretty please?

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Thanks CC! We never got a picture of the band unfortunately. I used a Marshall Valvestate 100, it was a lot of fun working with the band in those days. It was just a little side project that we did for fun.

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Hi eric,
Just listened to the first one (No Quarter). Guitar is great. I love the opening riff and the solo. Great tone on the guitar ! I also love the way everything stops, and then it continues after the pause. Great part of the song !
Certainly does sound like you had heaps of fun !!!
GOnna listen to the others now !!!

Re: Bad Posture Demo
The second one (Grave Digger) has great guitar work as well !!!
Really enjoyed this one. Plus, I think that your singer's voice really suits this one with the comedy punk style on it. I like the way that the vocals and the guitar line follow each other. Very well done !!!

Re: Bad Posture Demo
The third one (chains of love) has a guitar section that I love, but I just don't like the melody of the lyrics. I dunno, it just doesn't seem to fit to me.
But what do I know ?
Anyway, I didn't like this as much as the other two...

Re: Bad Posture Demo
Bloody Hell !!!
I really had fun listening to You And I !!
It's like Morrisey meets Marillion with the bridge section from Aftershock !!!
The singer just sounds like Morissey on this one, the melody sounds like Marillion's Cannibal Surf Babe, and at some points, it sounds exactly like the "Yeah, she opened up my eyes (now I see what I wanna see), kind of took me by surprise... " bit from Aftershock.
To me anyway.
But you must of written it way before any othem wrote their tunes. I reckon they've all ripped you off dude !!!
Really enjoyed them though, thanx for sharing these !!!
