File Attachment Limits

That's right, the time to limit how much is uploaded is coming soon [img]images/smilies/icon_wink.gif[/img] I only have so much space on the server and have to impose limits or continue to buy more space. For now things will remain as they have been only you will not be able to upload songs over 4 megs in size so you may have to trim or scale it down a bit. I am hiring a guy to write a mod that will limit how many megs a user will be able to upload to this board.

You will still have a reasonable limit however you will have to manage things i.e. remove older songs to make room for newer ones and that sort of thing. Thanks for understanding.

Sounds like a good idea to manage things
Deleting older songs would also be a good idea.

The maximum upload per file is 4 MB. Your default quota is 10 MB for all files combined. You can view your current status and remove older files by going to View My Files, see below.

Hello I am new and from Texas so not very smart,,,,LOL

I have a few MP3's. One is 3.15 MB, when I go to upload the MP3 off my pc it stops 1/4 of the way through and then cuts off. It does put a file on the post, but only about 25 seconds of the song?

Am I doing something wrong?

i only ever post 1 at a time so i should be fine lol . i remove old ones and post a new one to replace it .. i guess that is the best thing to do huh ?

i've noticed some users have many mp3's / posts in their library; where as it seems like i can only store 3 or so. is there some way to compress the mp3 file further? can files, after being downloaded to windows player, be then re-uploaded in their much smaller form? thanks--vash [img]images/smilies/chucks.gif[/img]

why not make a time limit of how long a song exisit like someone uploads a song and like 20 days or anytime period u can deside later its automaticly removed
