Introducing JASON STEWART!
As I approach middle age I think it's important to introduce people I have a common bond with (you lot) to people who I feel show enormous potential. This is a track by Jason that shows his AMAZING shred potential but also his sense of humour...this guy writes MUSIC full stop...blues, death metal, funk, rock, pop, surf music...you name it, he'll play it. I heard this about 2-3 years ago and thought 'WOW!'. Check him out...GOOGLE will have him listed. Number 1 in a series of 10...watch this space. Eric-it's cool as this stuff is free to download at his site PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE ONE BELOW THIS THREAD AS THIS ONE CUTS OUT BEFORE THE VERY FUNNY ENDING!

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
He's a consumate musician and a good guy. He likes every style of music and plays ALL the time. I would like to see good things happen for him as I think he's a great example of a person who just digs music generally...

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
ok I'm goona be the first one to say this, yea the guy can play 100 million times better than I ever could *but* I hate that shred stuff it all sounds exactly the same and bores me to hell, if he never did it I'd probably like it better.

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
I hear you Rol, it lacks any sort of feel what so ever although I am easily impressed by the shear speed and accuracy of playing like this since I can't.

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
Sure shredding is impressive, pertsonally sweeping impress me, cuz i can sweep , but never as good as lot of guitarist i heard!..but the point of my post is this one: Shreddingis useless if ur melody isn't a master-piece...u HAVE to get a nice melody, then u can add some shreding, shredding all the time (2 min over a 2:35 song) isn't the best thing. that's my opinion! Rock On!

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
Well obviously you guys ain't checked his other stuff out or read my posts! This is one side to him and I thought it being a laugh would be the best way to introduce you. I'll repeat-he has 100's of different influences; he's mad on surf music, he writes soundtracks for TV. Sorry if I'm on my high horse here but whenever I hear about how shredding or speed isn't that impressive, it's usually from people who can't...like me! I can't do this type of stuff but if it's done well, it's done well PERIOD! Lighten up and open your ears before you judge the guy by one post. Come back to me after you've listened to half a dozen and then judge.

Re: Introducing JASON STEWART!
Boy, this is great stuff!
This man knows his way around the guitar.
That's a fun piece of music. Could have been recorded by Steve Vai, it's got a similar, goofy approach.
