Lace and ksdb collab - "Fade Away"
This was an unfinished acoustic guitar idea I posted several weeks ago and it inspired LaceGuitarPlayer (Janell) to come up with some lyrics and vocals. There have been a couple of other versions of the same BT with lyrics and vocals provided by Rain and JimiHendrix, but we're not looking for comparisons; just sharing in the joy of how a certain style of music can inspire different musical ideas and interpretations. We would appreciate hearing your thoughts specifically on Janell's vocal work and lyrics!!

Hey Joe!!
When you first posted this song and asked me to put some lyrics to it I was so excited! The composition just inspires a flow of lyrics. That is well evident in the fact that rain, jimi and I all got a muse!
It's amazing to me how different each song is... how one piece of music can bring out such a variety of styles.
I appreciate you felt mine version good enough to post! I feel honored to be in the same company as rain and jimi... both of whom I admire a great deal. Thank you!!
Janell

Janell your harmony work is very impressive. This is a great tune from ks (I have told him that in the past) and the whole thing fits together really well.
The only downside is, it's too short - there is definately a very good song waiting to get out of this. I would love to hear some drums and bass (and maybe keys) gradually entering the mix to build on the tune.
But as it stands it is still very cool and a great collab.

I likey! It reminds me of what music would be playing at the end of a movie, a young girl has won the battle with her parents and is riding off to music college on a Greyhound bus, she begins to cry for what she's gaining, and losing...

Hey Rythameen... thanks hun!!
Gary!! I liked your movie plot to. Hmmm.. being writers.. maybe we should write it... you know.. like I send you a beginning and you finish it? hehehe
Thanks pick "tim" ... why have we started doing your name like that?
3fingers, thanks for listening. I know what you mean about rain's sticking in your head. I'm just glad I had laid down the lead vox before I heard hers or jimi's otherwise it might have turned out very different!
Thank all yall for listening!

Thanks Mandy, really appreciate your reply. You wrote awesome lyrics for this chord progression too. It's cool that the song can be interpreted in different ways like this. VanMan mentioned having an idea for it too. Would be cool to see if he might still come up with something.

Hi again. I can't believe how busy you have been. No wonder I hardly see you anymore woman!
You sent me this song but I wanted to comment on it. This is a sad song and very well put together. I really liked it, as you say, alot alot.
And the music is wonderful.

That's really a generous, generous reply, SS! I'm just so glad that Janell wanted to add on to the song. It took something basic and made it very special.
