Linkin Park like..
I auditioned for this band in Times Square , NYC last night....it went really good..out of 2 groups of musicians i was called back to finish the night off...also tested my singing skills....anyway there are more auditions but at this point im in....the music is a far cry from what most of us are doing aroung here....but i want yous to check it out and tell me what ya think....it was the fist time jamming with a dj....and the singer is smokin and her vocals are on fire..lol....ill post 1 but if ya want to hear more, let me know....THIS IS NOT ME PLAYING ON THE RECORDING...its the producer who did the whole thing....record companies are interested and want to see a live group play it...thats where i hope i come in....peace bros
ps...."C" tuning really makes your guitar sensitive

thats the reason why im willing to step back a little ..$$$...but the songs by this band are a challenge because the parts change everytime they are replayed...it was hell to learn even though on the surface they seem easy.....and then i can quit my day job...lol

originally i refused their offer due to issues like what youve mentioned....here it is in the producers words.........
The tunes are CERTAINLY not that difficult to learn and unless you have
a better offer or Linkin' Park is knocking at your door-
I would like you to reconsider. If this turns out well and you can
write with us in this style, there will be creative input for you.
....otherewise i guess he will write em

no band name yet...just Madison...shes the star...musicians are dispensable...that was another reason that i originally refused the audition...but im still waiting at this point for the auditions to end.

shit...im so on edge waiting to hear how this is going to turn out.........finally some word and it looks good.......this just came in from the producer............
Joe, I was in computer/phone hell all day at the studio-this is the first chance I have had to sit down and it's WAY too late to call you.
I thought you did great. You obviously spent a great deal of time learning the tunes.
We are going to do a second round next week and I will be getting back to you by a week from this Thursday with a difinitive answer.
Hang in there-if I get some free time tomorrow, I will give you a shout and we can yap in detail about the other night.
Take care,
Alan

Good luck...
Good luck Axe. I'm a generation X-er, so this is closer to home for me than it might be for others. It's on a further corner of my like's and dislikes, of today's stuff, but I really like it all the same. As a fellow LI'er, you'll probably appreciate this... I could definitely here this on KROCK! Good luck, if it turns into playing out for you, let us know - I'm local, I'd come to see this rocked out live.

This is a very cool tune!
I myself am a very big Linkin Park fan, so I really get into this sorta tune.
Dig the singer's voice as well.
Only knock, is that it may be a bit TOO Linkin Park-ish....maybe....But then again, who's to say....ya never know what it could develop into, if the musicians who are brought in are given a bit of creative input.
Sounds very cool though, IMO!
I'd definitely buy it!
Best-O-Luck to ya!
Don
