Fucking hell, Porty ! I downloaded all of these and have been listening to them while I work.
All I can say is that I wish I had this talent and ability. You are amazing man. I would love to be a fly on the wall to see how you accomplish this sort of stuff.
It is so well written, catchy, and above all, the production is perfect, so the performance comes across just the way you intend it to.
Truly a great. Thanx for all these songs.
You have a real gift here.

Hey i'm listening to your last song, "love lies..." .. you got a nice voice! There's a few keys in here.. is this the one that you mentioned to be keyboard oriented? I think it still needs a hammond though

lolol! no it is not the one I was referring to. that is still in incubation. But yeah I thought of a hammond. In the end I stuck with piano - a hammond is a difficult beast to tame. and I am being serious here for a moment. A hammond is a dangerous weapon in the right hands but it sounds like a wet fart in the wrong ones. I have completely fallen in love with keyboards even though I have never played them before the fall of last year. the first thing I realised is those fantastic hammond breaks that Deep Purple and the like did are no walk in the park! I lost fingernails!!! guitarists will tell you about callouses and sore fingers but believe me those are nothing compared to the rakes across a keyboard!! Synthz You have doubly earned my respect! I feel like a war vet carrying more injuries than I could ever contemplate.

Hi Porty
Lyrics are important to me, and if the author sheds light on them they are really more interesting. Thank you for sharing with us such beautiful songs

Mew. That's the symbol we always used in Maths anyway...
My Maths teacher's favourite joke was:
"Two cats sat on a tin roof, which one doesn't fall off ?
The one with the biggest mew"

He was a good Maths teacher, but he was a daft twat !
He once started a lesson and spent ten minutes drawing treble clefs, violins, pianos, music lines, quavers, semitones, etc., etc. on the blackboard. He filled the entire blackboard with this musical stuff.
He then picked up the duster and started wiping it off saying loudly, "Those were just a few notes..."
He also used to refer to a wasp as "It's not a wasp, it's a fly with a rugby shirt on !"
Worst of all, he could never get my fucking name right !!!

LOL! I can't say any of my teachers were particularly memorable to me. Except maybe our tutor. he had a similar taste in music to me but it led to a lot of arguments. Especially about lyrics for some reason
