New Group Song
Who would like to be a part of this ?
it was definately a bit of fun last time we did it !
of course we'd need to choose a backing everyone was comfortable with so how about some suggestions ?
i'd kinda like to stay away from blues though it's a bit too obvious a choice i think !
but reply and lets get this thing going !

take too long to write one but I'll look out for an interesting one we could loop and use.

Re: New Group Song
I'll provisionally throw my hat into the ring in the hope that my POD XT arrives in time to do me justice.
Obviously, I'll be relying on someone to tell me what key we're in and what scales to use !!!
Heh heh heh !!!
But if I'm useless at it, I'll let you guys know sooner rather than later so you're not waiting for me...

Re: New Group Song
No. I mean, eric did such a good job last time, that I know I'd never be able to come up with something generic enough or clear enough for everyone to use...
I haven't had much look locating backing tracks either. Other than the ones posted on here, I don't have many others.
Hold on, I might have some on some CDs though. But it's all whether they are copywrighted...

Re: New Group Song
You can use backing tracks cos the artist will get a fee thru the sales...I'm still looking. Found an awesome one for me and J-Mart to use. It might do the job? It's pretty much a fast rocker in F# and D?

Uhh.. I can only play in G, is that a problem?
Seriously, anything will work as long as it has a common break point so each person has a set amount of time.

Wah, send me a reminder to my phone, and I'll see if there are any goodies on the CDs stored in that box under the stairs...

I think this one would a bit too metal to be honest. I'll see how it goes with J-Mart and keep my eyes open for something more balladish that can cater for more styles.

Re: New Group Song
Hey Eric, I got a couple of ideas. The backing track I used for January' MP3 competiotion is 7-8 minutes long and has enough breaks to make everyone have a shot. Do you want me to e-mail it to you so you can hear it? It might still be up in backing tracks...it's called Cry For You I think.
