Oh , what the hell....
I never intended this to be something I would post, but ERIC heard it and thought I should post it. [img]images/smilies/icon_redface.gif[/img] [img]images/smilies/icon_wink.gif[/img]
This was just me farting around (hence the title) when I got my cakewalk software and was playing with mic placement, etc. to get a feel for recording with it. Lots of Ed-isms in it, since I was just winging some shit to match my amp and the mic up.. Nothing really to critique here, but it will give you an idea of what my rig sounds like when I want to shred a little.

Aaaah, gratuitous shredding! Don't hesitate to post some of that. We all love it.
This sounds like you're having loads of fun with your rig, Wolfman.
The tone is really good. It's close to Ed's sound.

LOL - It's a small, fully carpeted room, Brian. The reverb is from my rig - it's a basic hall template. I just close-miked the cabinet when I recorded it.
Glad you guys liked it - I guess the reason I never wanted to post it was because of the Ed-isms in it. Last thing I want people to think is I just sit around trying to sound like Ed, although my rig makes it fairly easy to assimilate his sound.

It's a crying shame you guys live so far away, cuz I could do with some guidance...
You may dismiss it as "just farting around", but I'd love to be able to fart like that, rather than the dribbly silent wet ones that is my playing....
The end of that noodle defintely sounds like you should go straight into Unchained !!!
